Refund & Cancellation Policy — Biemo

1. Free trial

New Biemo Pro subscriptions start with a 14-day free trial. You add a payment method up front, but nothing is charged during the trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged at all.

2. Billing & automatic renewal

Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins automatically and your card is charged the applicable amount (per child, monthly or yearly, in ZAR including any VAT). Your subscription then renews automatically at the start of each billing period until you cancel. Payments are handled securely by PayFast; we never see or store your card details.

3. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time — there are no contracts or cancellation fees. When you cancel:

You keep Pro access until the end of the period you've already paid for.
You are not billed again after that period.
Your account automatically moves to the Free plan — your data is not deleted.

To cancel, open Manage subscription in your account, or email support@biemo.ai and we'll help.

4. Refunds

Because you can trial Biemo free for 14 days and cancel anytime, we generally do not provide refunds for a billing period that has already started — cancelling simply stops future renewals while you keep access until the period ends.

However, we'll always do the right thing. If you were charged in error, charged after cancelling, or could not access the Service due to a fault on our side, contact us within 30 days and we will investigate and refund where appropriate. Nothing in this policy limits any rights you may have under the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA) or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA).

5. How to request a refund

Email support@biemo.ai from the email address on your account, with the date of the charge and a short description. We aim to respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method via PayFast.

6. Changes to pricing

We may change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes never apply retroactively to a period you've already paid for.
